Boutique Silversmithing Workshop No. 15 - Back by Popular Demand

This is a repeated class as so many people missed out the first time around. CONNECTED (findings & connectors)

Come and learn how to take your jewellery to the next level by adding your own, handcrafted sterling silver findings to your designer portfolio! In this class you will discover the secrets behind making your own clasps, jump rings and other findings that will allow you to connect beads and charms together into a unique, one of a kind piece.

With the help of an experienced teacher you will have the opportunity to create:
- 'S' clasps
- Toggle clasps
- jump rings
- granulated head pins & wrapped loops
- staples

In the process of making these components from sterling silver wire, you will also acquire the following Silversmithing skills:
- sawing (using jewellers saw frame)
- filing, sanding
- annealing wire
- soldering jump rings
- wire granulation
- how to clean metal after heat treatment

At the end of the workshop you will take home a collection of sterling silver findings and the core know-how for making these at home by yourself.

⦿ Beginning January 2020 a full refund will only be provided if a booking is cancelled up to and including 10 am on the Tuesday before the class. No refunds or rescheduling can be given after this time as our teacher has been booked and paid for attendance as of Tuesday.
