Gemworld Class: Boutique Silversmithing Workshop No. 17

CLIP IT ON Silversmithing – Brooch Making - SOLD OUT Brooches and badges are a popular way to hold garments together, adorn clothes as well as express your style & personality. This workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to try your hand at one yourself while you learn new silversmithing skills which you can use also for making pendants or charms.

What you will learn:
- how to design a simple brooch (including the catch)
- how to transfer your design onto metal
- how to cut your design out of silver plate using a jewellers saw frame
- how to clean edges of metal after sawing
- how to do simple rivets
- how to create the brooch pin

You will also have a chance to learn how to use letter stamps to create words or textures.

Take this opportunity to spend some time with a group of likeminded people and learn how to create beautiful pieces of wearable art.

This workshop is suitable for both:
- Complete beginners
- Advance makers wanting to gain more knowledge
