The graphite area is 2 ½" x 3" and the pad is at an angle to the barrel of the torch body, giving you a larger and more level working surface and more clearance around the valve knobs than other versions of this must have torch accessory. The Model A clamp fits around torch barrels up to 1 ¼" in diameter. The Model B fits around torch barrels over 1 ¼", up to 2 ½' in diameter. Model B fits the following torches and more: Rocket, CC
