Gemworld Class: Boutique Silversmithing Workshop No.22

Charcoal casting is a type of jewellery making process that allows for beautifully unpredictable organic shapes to come to life. In this workshop you will learn how to create a finger ring and have the opportunity to learn how to recycle your unwanted silver jewellery. At the end of the day you will have a 'signature' ring on your finger and a whole lot of new knowledge.

Skills to be learnt in this class:
- sizing rings before casting
- preparing silver for casting
- creating moulds for casting
- as well as core silversmithing techniques, such as filling, sanding and polishing

You will need to bring a notepad, pen and pencil.

Please, wear fully closed shoes as well.

We welcome Renata back for another year at Gemworld – we are so lucky to have her come and share her learning with us! Renata has prepared a series of silversmithing workshops which will hopefully challenge and delight during 2022.

⦿ Beginning January 2020 a full refund will only be provided if a booking is cancelled up to and including 10 am on the Tuesday before the class. No refunds or rescheduling can be given after this time as our teacher has been booked and paid for attendance as of Tuesday.
